Default Cam Question

Real quick, will the cam gears off my current NPI cams fit on a set of 2001 PI cams?

No.
Why not? I've heard from a few people that I can swap the gears as long as I get a different set of bolts that'll work with the PI cams.

Okay, my bad. I don't know what I was thinking, but just checked the Haynes manual and I don't see anything in there that says you cannot. So, it seems I was talking out my *** on this one.

Have you considered getting these?

Pricey, but maybe worth it if you have the cash.

cam gears can be switched...just need different bolts. I think the NPI has 12mm and PI has 10mm.
