After major damage like that, cars are never the same again. There will be little quirks that bother you from the time you get it. But if I were you i would take it to a knowlegable mechanic who can look it over and go off of his recommendation. If you plan on never getting rid of the car it can't hurt anything if it was properly fixed, but beware of trying to resell it.

Do you plan on owning it until it's paid off?

If so, might as well buy it if it's what you really want and it's at a good price. If you don't plan on keeping it until it's paid for, you're going to have one hell of a time getting rid of it and not losing your *** on it.

Forget the whole Kenny Brown's Son thing the guy is telling you. It's just one of those Old Lady driven or Highway Miles BS lines to get you interested in the car, it obviously worked didn't it

Decide what you want to do, take it for a test drive, get on a flat road, test the brakes. Get on a bumpy road and hit some bumps. Listen to annoying rattles with the windows up and down. Then find some windy roads and give her a beating. If the car performs good and you don't plan on trading it in or selling it until it's paid off, go for it!

I work for a finance company and frame damage is a common pop up on 5 % of our purchases... alot of ppl and auctions have that becuase they are covering there ***..... for instance if a vehicle has a class 3 towing hitch they will annouce at auction as frame damage. Get it on a lift and check it out..... vehicle may have been removed with a fork lift and they annouce as frame damage..... you can see it with the eye on a lift

ORIGINAL: 99mustang0

Well, i have no idea if im gonna own it till its paid off. I know that i would be able to get it at about $6k under kbb. With only 5k on it i dont know if theres gonna be too many noises ect. but i guess you never know. As far as the Kenny brown thing, he is telling the truth. This guy that has it right now has been in some magazines and supposedly knows steve saleen and does alot of work for the browns. He has got alot of stuff on his website. If i do get it and then go to sell it, someone would have to look at the carfax to know it was damaged cause its not a salvage title. (Thats not saying i wouldnt tell them) Bottom line is i want the car, but would it be a stupid purchase even though it was fixed?
Only if you want to get decent resale value. Get it checked out by a mechanic and go from there. If it was fixed properly, do what makes you happy. I would probably buy it if everything turns out kosher.

It might be a nice car, but in the long run its going to be hard to sell it, and if you trade it in to a dealer you will get nothing from them..I personally wouldnt buy it but that me.
