Ford Racing is a good brand. Is your car stock, because I believe you only have 19 or 24# injectors unless you changed them to 30#.I was also wondering how high can you go before you need to tune the vehicle for them and what kind of HP increase to expect from them. I have a Superchips tuner and it will not let you adjust for fuel injectors.

If brian has an '03, then they are 21# injectors. Look at them - if they are pink, they are 21#.

Bosch makes good injectors (I believe they make the FRPP, also).

Just upping the size of your injectors will not help. More fuel will make it run rich, but that's about it. Higher compression and/or forced induction are needed. On a stock motor, the biggest you should probably go is 24# and that is maybe too much.

If I remember correctly, you should need to tune your car regardless of the upgraded injector size, since the injectors see Voltage for Pulse Width and Dead Time... Cap and Pintle injectors would just spray during the Pulse Width, regardless of actual quantity..

That's if I remember correctly..

never knew that. So even if I bought a SCT Xcal 2 and changed my injectors to say 30# and tuned it, my car wouldnt run any faster/better?

sorry I wasnt more specific the car is supercharged with a vortech and I just changed the cam to a VT satge 1. Any suggestions would be appreciated.... Thanks The history of the car is basically I have gone through two motors. One was just before I bought it and the other actually happened just recently. Both motors had about 35,000 miles on them and on both it was chipping on the #3 piston which scarred the cylinder. I am thinking It has to be due to running lean??Any suggestions or ideas other than a bad injector??

If you tune it, depending on what grade of gas you're using, and whatever advance you do w/ your timing, it SHOULD help..

It won't give you a bunch of HP though... It may add a few.. The thing w/ the Tuners are, you adjust your fuel curve so you run rich down low and lean up high.. Adding MORE fuel to what already may be a rich mix, would make things just icky..

However though, if your car wasn't running that great before, by tuning it w/ new injectors, you may free up some power that you didn't know you had...

I had mine on the dyno and the result was 12.2 A/F ratio. Is that correct the guy told me that was dead on! I just feel like the car is getting too much air and not enough fuel. I have a UPR cold air intake, BBK 75mm TB, and a PowerPlus 75mm Intake Elbow

i have the same setup, vortech and vt 1's. I have 42lbs frpps. I am adding a kb bap to help as i think i need the extra fuel in high rpm range, at least that has been suggested. What fuel pump you running? What pulley is on your tech?
