Default 'Search' function didn't help...

So, I have to create a new post.

I've read on the forum about a creaking noise in the front end of our cars, which is usually attributed to the ball joints. My car has been dropped about 1 inch and I have offset rack bushings (with an alignment) to correct steering geometry.

My questions are:

1) Is this creaking normal or because of my drop?

2) Do I need to replace the ball joints (is there a TSB)?

3) Do I need aftermarket ball joints instead of OEM?

Thanks in advance
T.

There IS a TSB on it, it says it is the steering rack and pinion. My stang sits at stock height, and has some creeks/clunks from the steering, so it's not because of your springs. As for the actual cause, the TSB says it's the rack and pinion. If it's my ball joints making the noise, they seem perfect otherwise, so I don't know what to do. If you're going to replace them, GO AFTERMARKET!

I thought there was a TSB on it. So, if there is a TSB, will Ford fix/replace the affected parts? I have the creak and the thunk (occasionally). Seems they pop up after we get a few miles on them. I'm only at 23K so far.
