Default Best Short Block

I am soon going to be building a twin turbo system for my car, and i was wondering what would be the best place to get a shortblock or a rotating assembly that would be able to someday see 1000-1200hp(22psi with the twin turbo). I am looking for the best, cost effective solution to a bottom end that can handle that kind of power. So which shortblock or rotating assembly would be able to hold that the best?

Cost effective 1000hp. Man let me know when you find it.
I'm not sure about aftermarket blocks, but I believe the early (96-98) Cobra and some of the Mark VIII (not sure which years) Teksid aluminum blocks can support quite alot of power. I believe I have heard of them supporting 1000+. A Google search for Teksid 4.6 block should get you some more info.

Some more quick info on these blocks.
http://www.modularfords.com/forums/m...ght=teksid+wap

"Teksid is the company in italy that made the original 4.6 aluminimum bloks found in the MKVIII and early cobras, Sean Hyland says they are the strongest blocks you can get.
I paid $300 for my MKVIII block bare"

Thats what I have heard also. Sean Hyland has a website and I have heard he makes/sells or whatever he does... The MK's are some of the absolute best short blocks you can buy for your car.

I know VT Engines makes some real good stuff too and I know many members on here have talked to their staff and they are always very very helpful.

you may need a billet crank too.. a forged cobra crank may not support that much power....

^^^ + 1, im pretty sure the cobra cranks are good for somewhere around 900hp. 1000-1200 is pushing it.

Right after i got my car, the engine started to knock, so while they were replacing the engine they decided to go ahead and put a new clutch in it then. I dont know if it's just me or what the deal is, but it absolutely sucks when engaging the clutch at normal or cruising speeds, when you are shifting in the upper part of the power band it shifts great. It seams like it just takes forever to completely engage, but like i said it's probably just me, or maybe it is just cuz it is a new clutch, who knows, lol. As for the pics, yeah, ill post some pics and vids, but it may be two or three years if not longer before it's done. This is going to be a complete restoration from top to bottom. She's going to be one of the meanest street stangs in existence when im done, i wont rest till she's over 1000rwhp, aiming for 1200+.

www.vtengines.com
www.modularperformance.com
www.steenracing.com
all of these are building shortblocks making over 1000rwhp on a weekly basis.
Also 1200hp and cheap don't go in the same sentence. Your looking at all billit parts and thats big money.
Most of the stock 4.6 blocks can handle 1000hp also.
