Default GT vs Cobra redline

I've been researching Cobras suddenly wondered why there was such a difference in redline between the early Cobras and late GTs. The only thing forged was the crank, so is the GT crank really that weak, or was the GT just set lower since it won't make much power that high anyway?

On a seperate note, what do you think the price of 96-01 Cobras will be like over the next 3 years. My goal is to get a black one by the time I turn 20 (3 years). Who knows how that will turn out though.

Sn95's cobras go for around 12k with 50k on the clock in my area. And the gt cranks are pretty weak, which is why there is a difference in the redline.

Do you think the prices will go down as the GT500's start rolling off the line? I'm hoping to hit that spot where the price is down cause their old, but not going up because their collectable, like the 93's.
