Default Powerdyne

I just ordered a new 8 psi powerdyne supercharger kit... Does anyone else have one or have any experience with one? What problems should I expect to encounter during the process of installing/living wit it?

Brother, you should have asked about powerdyne before the purchase. Pretty much everyone on here with experience with Powerdynes does not recommend them. Apparently longevity is a huge issue with them. I don't know for certain, only what I've read here. I hope I'm wrong.

By the way, did you have motor work done? It says 289 motor, but 4.6 are 281. Ford stopped installing 289s in the early 70s.

Your right, it is a 281. I set up my profile at 4am my time and the 9 just kinda sliped out i guess... besides that, The car only does 2 to 3 thousand miles a year at most... So I hope that it will hold up a little better then everybody says... oh well... is the powergain at least nice?

it has seemed that people who have them have issues and they dont get the performance they want out of it. Hopefully you will have good luck and it will do what you want. You can google powerdyne issues and read up on it. It is hard to accept you get what you pay for when you lay out 2K for it.

thanks for the advice, I have solved the problem! I called them and was just in time to cancel the order. I decided that the extera thousand or two sounds like it would be worth it and after 2 hours on the phone am now lined up to recieve a 6 to 10 psi vortech supercharger with the steeda boost pipe instead. Now please don't tell me that vortech is a horrible supercharger as well...
