stock 5.0 springs to lower a 4.6
I read somewhere that you could take the stock springs from a 5.0 and used them on for lowering 4.6s!?! is that true.. to go further where ever i saw it said to use 4cyl front springs and v8 rear springs. Is this okay for the suspension or is it bad?

I dont know about the 5.0 to 4.6 springs.. but no you can not use 4cyl front springs to support the engine.. Its just not gonna hold and even if it did you would have no handling whatsoever. So if those two "tips" were posted in the same place i would imagine the 5.0 to 4.6 springs wouldnt work either...

never heard of the springs from a fox used on a new edge stang. maybe you are confusing the springs with the shocks and struts? those are commonly used as a cheap alternative to other s/s on a new edge.

Remember, it's a strip only mod.
As for rear springs, they use the same control arms, so it might work. Might.

I have heard of using the springs too. I take it the 4 cylinder springs help the front rise easier for weigh transfer? I know where I can get some of those for free... maybe I could switch them onto my car whenever I go to the grag strip... would that be too much work to switch them every time?... I've never installed springs, but I know several people who have installed a ton of springs so they could help me out.
