Default New Clutch

So I need a new clutch. I was thinking about getting Spec Stage 1 clutch from mustangtuning.com Now should I get a new flywheel(Spec) while im at it? Im new at mods, so any opinions would be good. Thanks.

IMO i would get a centerforce dual friction clutch (its a stage2) If the flywheel doesnt have many miles on it i wouldnt get a new one unless you wanted a lighter one like an aluminum flywheel.. just have yours resurfaced. Read this thread maybe it will help you.. but while i was in there i would replace the pilot bearing (depending on miles) and throwout bearing.

get a king cobra kit, resurface the flywheel and be done with it. That's what I did, works smooth as silk under normal conditions but when you hammer it, it grabs super tight

it's great up to max bolt ons... not good for forced induction tho

Don't quote me, but there were a few members here to had a king cobra and spec side by side and said the spec stage 1s are junk...

i like my king cobra!

Thanks guys. I don't think the flywheel has been replaced. My car has 59,500 miles on it. If that helps.

When I was having my clutch replaced the flywheel with 65k on it just needed to be resurfaced.

My King Cobra is holding up great to FI (knock on wood).

Since I need to replace my throw out bearing, I decided to change the clutch also...I want the King Cobra but it looks like it's not available for my car...(03 GT) Anyone know for sure and can help me out with this?? If it's not made for my car, what's the next best clutch? I only have a couple mods, not looking to supercharge it...

Anyone know where I can buy a Centerforce DF clutch with the throw out bearing included? Or do I need to buy this stuff separately? I've tried e-bay but the Centerforce kits I looked at don't come with the throw out bearing...
