2000 GT mostly stock except for exhaust. What can I add that would give me about 45 more HP. I don't want to do NOS or Blower. Could I just replace the heads and a new CAM?
I would say long tube headers and a cam for 45hp... Heads are a little expensive and you get the same thing out of longtubes.. but if you have the money do heads, headers, and a cam..

Okay, how much of the exhaust has been replaced exactly? Cat back? Mid pipe? Headers?
You can replace the heads but you'll need 2 cams, not one. SOHC is strange that way. Patriot, Livornis, and VT Engines all sell P&P heads. Comp Cams, Crane, VT engines all make cams for your PI mustang.
Price? Here's an example for you: Patriot stage II heads with everything but cams will run about $1250. Comp cams XE-270AH cams can be had for $500ish. You're at $1750 before the install. Install will cost something, but I have no idea how much.

No you cant just replace the heads, you already have the PI heads. You should look around the forum before you ask because this question could be answered for you. There is nothing that you could do to get that amount of HP increase for anywhere as cheap as nitrous would be. Of course, you dont want that so... this is what you will need to do. Under drive pulley's which are about 150.00-200.00, stage 1 cams about 700.00-1000.00, cold air intake with 70-75mm plenum and throttle body about 500.00-800.00, long tube headers 400.00-700.00, chip 300.00-500.00.
umm... that will probably put you at 35-45hp, at the crank. Oh and that will cost about 1750.00 at minimum not including labor. Or, a 50 shot of nitrous for 500.00
I think 45 hp w/o a major power adder ( blower, nitrous, etc.) is going to be hard to do. I'm not saying it can't be done, it's just going to cost some $$$$$.
