has anyone that has done a cam swap degree there cams??? did it come out to the specs on the cams if i have to spend 250 on adjustible cams gears im gonna be pissed!!!!! plz if u have any info i need to know quick i cant be without a car for much longer!!!! the specs on comp cam 270's is that the valve should open 8 degrees before TDC and mines is't opening till opening at 4...jumping a tooth bumps it to like 17 degrees more or less!!!!!could this be becuz the hydralic lifters could be pressed....or could this be cuased by the tensioners..........HELP!!!!! yes i have the 5.4 stangy004

First off, if you think you may have screwed it up, even by a degree, DON'T RUN IT!!! That's like take a wad of $100 bills and lighting it on fire..

Did you try to tune it at all, by yourself?? Do you even have a tuner??

Also, have you followed the procedures to the "T" w/ regards to setting base cam timing??

dont worry about it i think i have it figured out..... if u play with the cam gear i noticed u have a bit of play maybe a few degree im going to see what that does and ill get back to u guys later tonight ...thanks guys

my problems are gone the car is flying hahahahaha im 2 degrees advanced on both sides but the missfire code is gone and u can feel the power hell yea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

if you havent got a tune yet just wait until you do car runs alot better after a tune i dropped my 1/4 .4 tenths with my cams andthey are stage ones and no springs i ended up forgetting to put a shim on the cam and tore the cam gear up a couple weeks later but that was my fault i was a little drunk during that part and just forgot it but it is the only problem i had and a $22 fix

i will try to get a video up tonight....and as for the tune im gonna wait im going to get it all tuned at once my blower kit almost done...............oh i had my first kill i was driving home from the bowling alle and this accord come beside me and blowsoff (f***ing tubro rice cookers) so at the next light i gave him a 0-80 he will never forget..........he saw nothing but taillights lol.......

Something about racing the car w/ out a tune after doing a sort of "major" modification, just doesn't sound right to me...


Do you at least know what A/F Ratio you're at when you're at WOT??
