Installed MAC cold air then service engine light turns on?!?
I have a 2000 GT with a MAC pro chamber and MIL eliminators. I’ve been running this setup for a few months with no problems. Yesterday, I installed a MAC cold air intake. I drove it five miles no problem, then on the way home the check engine soon light came on. I assume it has something to do with the cold air install. I installed it per manufacturer specifications. Any ideas?

Yea you might need to clean your MAF. Also make sure theres no vacuum leak with the IAC tube and pcv tube coming off the CAI

Yeah, it's a bit dirty but the MAC dresses is up a little bit. I was told to disconnect the battery for a few minutes. I'll try that first and see what happens.
I cleaned out the IAC last week. Couldn't get it to idle. That seemed to fix the problem.
I'll try cleaning the MAF if nothing else works.
No vaccum leaks that I know of.
Thanks for the quick replies. You guys don't mess around!

I disconnected the battery for an afternoon then took it out for a drive. It worked for a while until I noticed my AC wouldn't turn. Then moments latger the service engine light came on. I slowed to a stop then suddenly the AC kicked in. The engine runs fine. I'm thinking I must have a vaccuum leak. Those blue hoses that came with the kit might not connect tight enough, so I might put on some hose clamps to see if that helps. Any other ideas?
