Yes, your car positively has a 3650, unless of course it was previously swapped or is a factory freak. Ford switched from the T45 to the 3650 midway through 2001, so the later 2001 Mustangs and all Mustangs since have the 3650.

I never grind in first to second but every now and then, albeit somewhat rarely, I get a grind in second to third on a power shift and I heard thats not good at all. But I have the 3650, huh? Well now I know what to order.

Im not sure yet. I dont like the steeda Tri-Ax from the 03 cobra. What do you suggest? I dont want a tall shifter like that. Something that looks norman but is a short throw.

When I had my 2000 GT & when they switched midway through 2001 everyone on the boards were then saying it will be an improvement the 3650 over the T-45. Seems that maybe they were wrong from what I am reading now, what do you think. But I have the Mach 1 now 04 & I think the transmission does feel better especially going into reverse.

I went with the Pro 5.0 short throw. Gonna get it installed with the steeda timing adjuster, and 1 1/2 inch lowering springs in the week ahead. Cant wait.
