Default Throwout Bearing

I need to replcae my throwout bearing again beacuse its squealing really bad. Its the second Ford Racing one thats done that. What do you recomend for good throwout bearings. Centerforce has one for 35 on summit. Any suggestions?

just make sure the intaller does it right and cleans off the shaft. you might replace the clutch fork to be safe.

i was planning on doing it myself(poor college student) when I get a good weekend. So if I get the fork and the Centerforce TO bearing I should be good to go. I replaced the clutch last summer so it only has like 5000 miles on it.( I live on campus). Makes sense though cause I remember cleaning the shaft but didnt go hardcore into it, just a quick rub down. It took me way too long to get the tranny out

Having had the identical problem with 2 ford OEM TO bearings, I was recommended Timken or BCA

Car is at the dealership right now getting fixed.

So whats the difference between the TO bearing and pilot bearing. I only replaced one'bearing' last time I did it and I thought it was the TO bearing, but the pilot bearing could also be a problem too? Im confused.

TO bearing is what is attached to the clutch fork. The pilot bearing goes into the rear of your crankshaft (center of the flywheel.) and goes onto the input shaft of your tranny.

If it's a pilot bearing it will squeal when you have the clutch pedal pressed in. If it's the TO bearing it will squeal when your foot is off the clutch pedal.

the to bearing goings on the input shaft of the tranny. to get to the pilot bearing you would have to pull the clutch/flywheel i believe to get to it

Sweet thanks guys, the squeal comes when the foot is off the pedal and goes away when it is pressed. That means about an hour saved. Thanks again

EDIT: and 30 bucks
