Best intake upgrade = KB 1.7

But since you probably don't want/can't afford that one:

I would just remove the air silencer and put a K&N filter in it. $200+ for a tube plus filter is not really worth it in my opinion. The stocker works pretty well.

I am running a K&N cold air in my car right now, and honestly after going through 4 diferent intakes (including a ram air) I have to say that the K&N typhoon intake gave me the best power upgrade. Now I paid a little over 200 for mine. But to answer your question yes its the best for the money that you are paying. Check E-Bay, they have all kinds of stores that can have the best deals on auto parts sometumes. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=8065808363 <- I jsut glanced on froogle and found one that looks promising already! GOOD LUCK

I visited JLT's website, and they seem to have legit COLD AIR intakes that give you more horsepower than any other brand (8-12 RWHP). I also have a friend with a Modded 04' Cobra with the JLT installed. He's been through a few intakes including a K&N. He said JLT is the best one he's had, and he's sticking with it. On my car, I have just the K&N air filter. The biggest change I noticed came from gas milage. It really is a gas saver.
