Default best engine

I know it has been asked but I can't find the simple answer I am looking for. I am looking at a 1998 gt auto vert, that's super clean, triple black, lots of new road hugging suspension, 18' real saleen wheels, with good rubber, etc. It is really nice but it has 152,000 miles and take off smoke.
anyway my question is simple could a pi 4.6 complete from the oil pan to the tb/plenum be dropped in using the current accesories,
ignition, computer, etc.?
if not which would be best a non-pi or pi?
thanks

yes it could! Just a few wires have to move and one connection has to change. I have similar plans for my car with 113000 on the clock. good luck with it

no problem. For all the trouble you gotta go through... look into a performance aftermarket stuff.

I'm planning on building a pretty hefty setup since I"m goin through all the trouble.

yeah i have been looking around quite a bit but this will be the daily since i destoyed my 96, i like the car the way it is but for more power and reliability i just want to drop in a lower mile replacement and if the pi is as simple as the non-pi i figured the pi was worth the a couple more hundred bucks.

sweet... this year i'm buying a beater/2nd car/truck... so that in the next year I can get my engine straightened out. Mine is burning oil... and i figure it's a good chance to fix a problem and make it better. If nothing else maybe I can get a really nice aftermarket engine in there... I just figure for my time spent I dont' wanna put a stocker back in
