Default Where do i start

I just recentley got a 2003 mustang GT and love it. I want to upgrade it but i dont know where to start. It came with really expensive tires on it and its hard to get them to spin. Are all the 99-03 GT's like that. Anyway would it be beter to do exhaust or like coldair intake/chip conbined.

No, the factory tires were horrible. Don't bother with a CAI... at all. Full exhaust is a good place to start. If you want, gears, too.

I'd do them all. Probably start with the exhaust cuz there's nothing better than that good ol' muscle car sound!

Headers (long-tube), a mid pipe (H, or X... each have a different shape, and produce a different exhaust note. If your state has emissions testing, get an H or X pipe with high-flow cats on, if not, get an off-road variant. You'll need a short H or X because of the long tube headers), and a catback (AKA muffler... Flowmaster, Bassani, Borla, SLP, and many other brands... don't worry about performance from the catback, your choice here is all about the sound you like best).

you can get an x pipe for like 150 and the exhaust from anywhere between 300-500. if you really want some extra power get long tube headers which are around 4-500.

I got a h pipe, headers, and exhaust all for about 1100.

What is the Dif. between the x and h pipe. what would be a good brand to go with for the cats, long pipe and and h/x pipe. Is thier not just a kit that all this stuff comes in?

H has a deeper sound than the x. which is why i got the H. but the H has a raspyier sound which never bothered me.

For the long tube headers go with BBK
for the midpipe I just got the cheapest bbk they had. sounds fine.
for the exhaust there are so many different choices for different sounds. Mac, steeda, magnaflow, magnaflow magnapacks, flowmaster.
I liked the magnapacks the best, its all personal preference.
