I recently did the PI swap. Before the swap I dyno tested at 185 rwhp. After the swap with a dyno tune raised my rwhp to 245. Torque is about 270.

Just the CAI, Flomaster 40's, and Hiflo cats for the first run. Installed the shorties during the PI swap. Of course gears don't do sh*t for runs.

That was the 91 octane tune that gave those numbers. Pretty f**kin' happy with the results, and this is also with the stock TB/Plenum and MAF!!! [sm=icon_rock.gif]

ok so changing my factory heads to the ford pi heads and intake will improve it dramtically right....what mods need to be performed to make these things fit...i have heard none then some say a few minors...let me know...and yes 13.51 is pretty fast i heard...its a 5 speed and i used slicks so i could hook....i really and truly dont think i have the pi heads because until i put all these mods on it...the car was a turd...i mean 15.11 stock right from the one owner i stole it from...3500 cash...she won it in a divorce...lol..i won that deal..well ne ways someone let me know

You shouldn't need to swap anything other than the heads and intake manifold. I obviously haven't done it myself but the swap is simple.

Those are respectable times from a NPI GT but their are guys going faster so it can be done with traction/good driving/ good weather etc.
Johnny Langton is running low 12's with his 97 TBird and 4.6 NPI with just motor....and the TBird is heavier then the Mustang.

If your interested in doing a full PI swap it is a direct bolt on....
here is a place that sells the come kit with every nut and bolt as well as offering cam and ported heads upgrade options.

NOT AS SIMPLE IT IT SEEMS!!! TOOK A FEW DAYS AS I PULLED THE MOTOR. THAT IS THE BEST WAY TO DO IT AS YOU ARE NOT FIGHTING YOURSELF DOING THE JOB!!!!
STAY AWAY FOR AFTERMARKET CAMS OR BE PREPARED TO DO ENGINE WORK DOWN THE ROAD AS YOU WILL BEND VALVES!!!

Also the Ford Racing head changing kit is a bit of a joke because you only get a few of the items to do the changover! All N all, I'm pleased with the job!!!
