don't go getting a tune until you gets your mods pretty much done with, or you get a mod that cant be right without a tune (like a cam or most supercharger setups). Really, they may pull an extra 10 hp out but EACH session is gonna cost bucks $$$$, and every mod you do after the tune will throw off what you paid for. Even something like exhaust work can change your a/f ratio. Best get that tune once you get cams in or your mods pretty much done, either that your you have lotsa $$$ - in that case just give it to me :P

i'm having cams installed right now, should have it back thursday. i went with comp cams high energy street/strip cam grind #xe278h it has a valve lift of .550, and duration of 242 in, 246 ex. i bought them at modular depot motor sport for $550, the springs were $185.in order to use the street/strip cams you need 3.73 or higher gears, aftermarket intake and exhaust. and a chip dyno tuned. i bought the chip from md motorsport as well for $325, which comes tuned to your specs.
i have a 99gt with densecharger c.a.i., 70mm accufab t.b and plennum, steeda pullies, port polish heads, comp cams, frpp headers, bassani xpipe, magnaflow cat back and frpp 4.10's
the cams i'm told will give it a rough idle, which will sound like a true muscle car. i'm looking at 300rwhp or more. will post video when i get it dyno for exact hp.
