Default Timing chain

My timing chain snaped the other day.....and I'm sad to say that I drove her 5 mins to get home. Should i just slap on a new one, or pull the head and take a look at it.

ALso I didnt hear any taping.

And does anybody know if the valves and pistons will actually touch on this engine????

Its an interference engine, so yea bad things can happen. Imagine its only a couple hours more time to pull the heads and check, but how much longer would it take to put it back together, realize you have a problem, then break it back down again. Damn, a snapped chain - that sucks.

a compression check would probably eliminate any bent valves
