Default Thinking about buying a new car!

Right now i have a 2000 mustang gt with 25k on it. It runs great and doesnt have a single thing wrong with it. Im thinking about going out and buying a 2003 cobra becasue i want more power. Would it be cheaper for me to go out and buy a 2003 cobra or building up my mustang. I know the 03-04 cobras block can hold a hell of a lot of power and so can there tranny. So should i sell my car and go out and buy a cobra or keep it and build my block up. Its gonna cost me 10-12k to upgrade to a cobra. Would i be able to make 500rwhp with 10k invested into my gt or would it be cheaper to buy the cobra. Sorry for the long post and thanks for the responses.

i think u should keep your car, even if you forge your block and build everything up youll still prolly be cheaper than the cobra!! and just as fast.

Yea man I say you should keep the GT and modify it. I mean dont get me wrong I love the 03 Cobra and its a very fast and well built car but for the money, you can build up a GT to beat one easily and still be under the cost of one. Plus, theres nothing sweeter than pulling up next to a 03 Cobra asking him to run then embarassing him since he didnt know that it was a "special" GT haha(Experienced this in my friends twin-turbo 01 GT) God I loved it haha

I'd keep the GT. If you're looking at 10-12k to upgrade to a cobra, just replace the current tranny and engine and you could still be ahead. Just do your shopping.

These are just a few thoughts on engines and prices. you could do a variety of things and still make the $10-$12k limit. Make it unique!!

keep your car, i was thinking about purchasing the 03 cobra and i decided to go with my gt, the cobras are way over priced, future ford wanted 36k and they took it down to 32k. i put down 10k cash and they wanted over 700 dollars a month, so i decided to go with the gt, i paid 17k out the door and mine had 35k on it, so with all the money im saving i can buy a procharger and a bunch of other things, if you have the money then buy the cobra, if not stick with the gt
