Default Running hot - intake manifold?

My 96 GT has its original (crappy) intake manifold but it's never been a problem before to either me or its previous owners. All of a sudden the car's temperature is now running considerably hotter than normal. I can't see any coolant leaking anywhere. How can I tell if it's a cracked manifold? Is there a "tell tale" sign?

need more info........have u checked your thermostat? waterpump? made sure the vehicle has had the radiator flushed every 36K? before you tear your manifold off, i would look at those things.

are you losing coolant? Check the overflow tank. If it's running low, fill to spec, then run it again. If it loses some more, then you know you have a leak somewhere. If it remains fine then you probably have a stuck t-stat.

Phew... no coolant missing. Seems to run fine now but flushed the cooling system and changed the thermostat anyway (must've been sticking after all).

Thanks for the advice all,

rev it up high and see if coolant spills out of it. My friend had 80k miles on his gt and it cracked, he couldnt rev over 2500 rpms without having coolant go everywhere.
