I have a 2003 mustang gt. I was wondering if by unbolting the exaust behind the cats would give me any horse power or tork. Also if I take out the screen on the maf sensor and the snorkle on the air filter housing, would that help</P>

If I'm not mistaken, taking anything off the exhaust should help because even big pipes are more restrictive than being in open air. Take the damn cats off altogether for some real power. May not be legal...</P>

Yes, you will get a little bit of hp by taking of the snorkel.

as far as i know the silencer is the snorkel i am talking about. basically i was wondering if there were any dyno tests or documentation on it.</P>


I feel like i lost tork but gained a lot of top end. I have a five speed so a little tork doesnt afect me that much because ill just launch a little harder. but because it would be free hp that is why i am interested in it.</P>

Brother says he could feel a difference...he said it kicks in over 4500 RPM's. You can hear it sucking in. As for torque and horsepower...who knows, but at the least it sounds really cool!
