When you get home at night, fill 1 or 2 cups with vinager and sit them on the floor (one in the back and one in the front). The vinager takes the cigarette smell away. It works real well if your a non smoker and have company that comes over who smoke. Just don't forget you set those 2 cups of vinager on your floors when you drive out the next day. Try that... It works for me.

I would say if it's a new car get it detailed inside and out
that way the smell is gone and you can be proud of a nice looking stang

if the smell is still there I don't know what to tell you

well if you dont smoke, just drive it for a few weeks and it should go away,

if you have leather, condition it......the smell of leather will take away anything!
........well most of the time

I just bought a 2001 GT, A/T, Leather, loaded. Just bought the car a month ago. Now I am noticing the smell of cigarette smoke when I first start it up through the dash vents. Any Ideas of how to get rid of the smell?

Thanks,

stick a dead pig in there and leave it for about a week. That will get rid of the ciggarette smell.

you're going to think i am crazy but i promise this works i had to do it one time, dillute some vodka with water(half and half) spray it on whatever smells like smoke and let it soak for about 20 minutes... Then wipe it down with a mile cleaner (windex) for your vents you could just spray in their and let it dry real good. it works really good to get that smell out

on a more serious note get a small bag of regular charcole. not any of the quick start stuff just a plain bag of charcole open it up and let it sit in your car over night. now i havent done this yet but charcole absorbs odors. i have advised people to do this when they spill gas in the trunk after running out of gas and they said that it worked. so hey it wont hurt to try.
