Default Car LEAKING! normal?

so recently, I've noticed that my car has been leaking..

I was about to take it to the mechanic, and possibly get jipped for hundreds of bucks.. but luckily, I told my mom and she informed me that all cars do that when you use the A/C..

is this true??? I wouldn't think this is normal, but then again, this is my first car so I have no clue.

It leaks near the front, right under the engine, closer to the passengers side... and the liquid seems hot or something, cuz it makes an evaporating sound when it hits the floor (or sizzling sound).

normal? not normal? suggestions? THANKS. and sorry for being a n00b.

does liquid hit the floor, have you witnessed it? if so whats the color? may have a cracked intake manifold. if NO liquid hits the floor then...

yes the a/c does make noise after you shut the vehicle off and you have been using it, its a hissing sound.

+1 i forgot some stangs do that, the condensation from your a/c will drip on your exhaust/exhaust manifold and give you that sound. i think its to dry here in colorado, because i dont have that effect, yet =O

Normal dude. The more humid the air is the more dripping you get.

By floor, do you mean the pavement?

Sounds like normal A/C condensation.

Lol...Yeah thats all normal as long as its just water. That's just condensation from the A/C. BUT... If it isnt water and its smells it could be coolant. I had that problem once.
