Found a company that sells mach 1 rims (17x8) for 500 bucks a set. Is this a good price? I like them alot more than my stock tires. Opinions?

I wish I could find a set of polished/chrome wheels exactly like my stockers, but they are all well in the 1000 range.

Sounds like a good deal, but for about another $100 bucks you can pick up some Bullit wheels....

Good deal if you wanna be a poser. whats next, the ram air kit ot the "Mach1" at the bottom of the car? Seriously though... dont do that. A GT is a GT and thats the way it needs to stay. If anything, go grab some bullitt rims like mine. They look really good I think. I love the look on a Cobra or Mach1 owners face when im side by side with him or even in front at the quarter mile. Gives me a feeling of accomplishment when its all over.

Its wheels, not a poser kit. The 3 Large "GT" symbols should keep it pretty clear.

Im not a fan whatsoever of the buillit wheels. I was it first, but frankly I would rather have mine as they are now.

What I would really like are some wheels exactly like what I have (5 spoke stock) except chrome. Like I said they are like 1000 dollars though.

They are just rims. Just because they come stock on the mach 1 doesnt mean that nobody should buy them. If he likes them then i dont see what the big deal it. Just because you have the same rims as another car doesnt mean that your being a poser. Get the rims, they look good on all mustangs, not just mach 1's.

ran right besides them! Not a new cobra... its the 94 to 98 model cobras. No way could I hang with a 03-04 cobra.

I gotta say there is no way your hanging with a properly driven 5spd Mach 1. Ive got a few more mods than you, and even with the underdrives on the way I wouldn't expect to beat a mach 1 if it had the same tires as me. Even if he had stock tires on I wouldn't expect to beat em unless he really screwed the pooch on launch.

With stock tires a excellent driver should be able to get a mach 1 dammed close to a 13.1. If your running that fast either I am severly underestimating my mods or your car is a major factory freak. With the stock 3.27s in the rear end (according to your mod list anyway) you would have to be making more than 310 hp to be beating em (as the mach 1s come with 3.55s )
