Default Washing the convert top

Just picked up a 2003 mustang last week and I'll be washing her in the morning and need to know the do's and don'ts of wahsing the top. I'll probably take it to a self car wash here in town.
Thanks.

This should help. There was another thread about cleaning vert tops. Do a search and you can pull it up.

Take it easy while spraying the top you don;t want to stress the seals. Clean with car wash soap and condition with Aerospace 303...great stuff!

i have a drop top too and whatever you do make sure you keep it wet on hot days if you have the top up or it will fade. I just use a tire wet spray and put it on a tire profile sponge and rub it on there. it looks shiney too. i have been doing this forever and no problems.
