Default ANNOYING SQUEAKING??

WHEN I START MY MUSTANG THERE IS THIS ANNOYING SQUEAKING GOING ON AND IT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY. I tryed some belt dressing but only gets rid of the noise for so long. The belt is in great condition with no cracks or anything so i dont think the belt is the problem. when i drive for about 10 minutes it goes away untill my car cools down again. i was thinking maybe it was my tension or idler pulley. if anyone has had this happen or has any ideas what i should do let me know please. thanks for your support.

I bet your right. Spray the tension pully when you start the car and see if it quiets down.

I just put steeda pullies on and I have the same annoying squeak... someone said it could be the alt, belt, or a pulley.

When I put new pully's on my car I also put a new Gator back belt on it. Well then it started squeaking every once in a while usualy when I had my AC on so then I was like WTF. I then put the OEM belt back on it and a new Alternator and it went away, Im not sure If I needed the new Alt thought. But it went away.

yeah youre right twister about the belt dressing it sprays everywhere, on the bottome of the hood and all over the motor and i just cleaned my motor, lol i think i will just replace both pulleys for the hell of it, the good thing is, is that my idler pulley and tension pulley are the exact same pulleys, so i will just buy one and change one of them out and see if it stops and if not then i will take the pulley i already took off and put it on the other one that has to be squeking. if you get what i just said kind of confusing.

i got that same squeak too, and it's just like you explained it.... it's there when the car's cold and goes away after it's warmed up. i think mine might be the tensioner
