Just got 3.73 gears installed

Just got 3.73 gears installed
I was wondering if its normal for them to whine a little bit at a higher RPM. Is this part of break-in? Or is this bad. Its not loud at all. Just a faint whine at high rpms.

Hey Shawn02GT......Do you have an Automatic? and do you do a lot of street driving? reason I ask is because I want to get 4.10's on my Auto but I heard that it would be really rough on the Motor since it revs high all the time, is this true? I don't want to get gears if things are going to start happening to everything else.

Same kind. He mechanic says its just break in. I called him. But I want to be sure if anyone else have seen the same result.

there shouldn't be any whining noise from your gears... bring it back to the shop... doens't matter what brand of gears you got.. gears should not make a whining sound.

I just called him and ask to bring it in for him to look at. He said its normal break in and if it does that after 200 miles to bring it back to him and he will take a look.
that way both parties are sure
