exhaust setup...Bassani vs Mag
Time for another list of questions from me . Some of you know that I recently purchased a Bassani X-pipe for my GT. I mentioned that I was going to be ordering a MagnaFlow cat-back system for my car too. However, I decided to hold off, because I am now looking at the Bassani exhaust system.

1) My buddy has an '03 Cobra with a Bassani Cat-back on it, but compared to an '02 Cobra w/a similiar Bassani system...the 03' doesn't sound as nice (why is that?).

2) I'm also looking to purchase the Bassani shorty headers (I've heard good things from these). Feedback on these please.

3.) Is is recommended that I stick w/the same brand on my exhaust? A lot of people in the bike community frown upon mixing up brand applications. Kinda like you go w/who wins races for performance period. Go w/what u want for sound. Basically, would it matter much if I have the Bassani headers, x-pipe, and Magnaflow cat back, or should I stick w/the Bassani cat-back for the xtra ponies?

4) Does anyone have this setup? How does it feel/sound compared to the Magnaflows?

Both setups are SS, and offer lifetime warrenties

1) l think it's because the '03 is supercharged and there is no such thing as a '02 Cobra, l think you meant '01.
2) From what l heard, BBKs are designed to fit and perform well on late model Mustangs.
3) No, there are many people out there that mix brands and end up with a good combo.
4) Again, from what l heard, Magnaflows are the best flowing exaust systems out there.

you wont regret it.... i LOVE my bassani, it was good for almost 60 hp (from my old pos welded hpipe and flowmasters...), and it sounds much better. ive heard bassani, bbk, magnaflow, flowmaster, you name it catbacks, and i like bassani the best. thats why i got 'em1

Hey Rob (or anyone else), how much hp should i expect from ea. mod seperately? Magnaflow show'sa dyno graph of 25hp from their catback, but I can't find any graphs showing the performance gain from the x-pipe, or the headers. Anybody have some #'s for me?

from what i hear, on a basicly stock car headrers are pretty much useless, but when you rreally get into power, theyre good for about 10-12 exttra ponies. the x pipe is supposed to be good for about 35 hp, and ive seen catbacks that are good from 10 hp to about 30. for my money, bassani or magnaflow is the way to go.

All right!! My MagnaFlow cat-back was delivered today!!! I'm 2/3's of the way there. Now for those headers. Can anybody tell me a rough estimate on the labor charge for putting them on &/or how much and what exactly I need to do, to put them on myself?
