MM CC plates in and...

RE: MM CC plates in and...
To replace the front lower ball joints, you simply remove the caliper, un bolt the strut from the ball joint, and then press it in and out, right? If I am thinking correctly the spring doesn't have to be touched... because I removed the upper part of the strut and the control arm hung down a bit and didn't effect the spring, so if i un bolt the strut at the bottom it should again not effect the spring...

Hey George,
As GT_Bob had mentioned, a bad ball joint could seriously affect your camber settings.. It could also mess up a lot of stuff too..
Were you able to adjust your camber out until it didn't rub?? I know it's hot, but if you can, try to adjust it out, and see if it does anything. If you can, also while the car is up on a jack, have someone turn the wheel and watch the other balljoints. I had an issue on a front Control arm that cascaded into the lower lateral ball joint and destroyed the control arm. This wasn't on my Mustang, but it can still fail suddenly..
Could be a good time to upgrade to the Steeda ball joints..
