Clutch Help Please

Clutch Help Please
I got a new King Cobra clutch put on my mustang like 1000 miles ago and when I first got it back from being put in the clutch pedal caught down pretty low and grabbed really well, after about 500 miles the clutch pedal started to catch up higher and the clutch was no longer as grippy. Almost to the point that it feels like the stock clutch did. if anyone could shed any light on this I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

RE: Clutch Help Please
You mean the clutch was engaging only after you pushed it down farther than normal?
A good clutch should disengage/reingage at the very top of the pedal movement. Not only does this let you know that you are fully disengaging it, it also increases the speed of your shifts.
More than likely it was just getting broken in. A stock pedal feel is a GOOD thing, unless you are running massive HP numbers.
My mcleod disengages about 1 inch after pushing down the pedal. It took some getting used to on launches, as you have to be a bit more careful, but I like it alot more than the stock setup now that im used to it.

I wouldn't mind the fact that it doesn't catch as low as it did (starts catching within like 1/2" now Vs. 2" when it was first installed) but it doesnt feel as strong as it did at first... I just want to be sure there are no problems.
