Your dad doesn't make sense if that's the case. There are family sedans and 4cyl econo-boxes that are much faster than a stock 5.0, tell him you want one of those instead then.

I don't understand why sports cars are "faster" than any other. They accelerate faster which can make them more dangerous if your not careful, but my moms old contour would hit 110+ so is it really that much "faster"

It's not... stock. You just get something out of the thousands of dollars you put into it.
And I have a 4.6[&o]
I don't understand why sports cars are "faster" than any other. They accelerate faster which can make them more dangerous if your not careful, but my moms old contour would hit 110+ so is it really that much "faster"

trade it for my v-6? or just tell him you promise to never leave 2nd gear..... then tell him its his fault when your **** breaks, and make him get you performance stuff.... sounds like a plan to me.....
or honestly, they're not that powerful, i kick out my back end moreso, than my buddy in his gt, cause i do one wheel tire fires... for now....
