Default "electronic" E/T's

I borrowed my Brother-in-laws GTECH Pro performance meter today. I have yet to run my car at a track so I was curious. It's kind of a neat little unit. You can check em' out on the web. I think Summit sales them. I personally wouldn't spend the 2 bills to buy one of them. I don't know how accurate these things are, probably not very, but trying it out was a good excuse to go fast. It was about 90 deg. today and I ran close to a 50/50 mix of 91 octane and VP C10. Here are the results of the best of 3 runs. It was the only run I did without the A/C on because I'm the friggn moron who forgot to turn it off.

1/4 ET 10.82
1/4 MPH 127.95

1/8 ET 7.01
1/8 MPH 98.26

0-60 feet ET 1.68

HP 421
TQ 438

I think I would have done a heck of a lot better if I had a set of slicks or even a set of ET's. Even with my adj. control arms and adj. pan-hard bar, it's still double tough to hook this thing up with a set of GY F1's. I'm kind of bummed out that I didn't get a chance to play with the GTECH's "G" graphs where the F1's would have done their job.

The closest strip is about 100 miles away. Maybe someday I'll get around to getting some real numbers with real drag tires.

Damn... I would be love to hit 10's on street tires. Definately take a day trip to the track.

well, the torque you got in your sig matches what that device said... so it has to be pretty accurate

Yeah, I think that was just coincidence.

+1, that would be hard on a prepped strip I would think.

It was actually a crop duster air strip and you may be right. Like I said, i don't know how accurate the GTECH is.

Damn, I wish I had a place like that to go. But I have only heard bad things about the gtech. I dont really know your car, but a 10.8 seems a bit too low. What are you hoping to run at the track?? Mid to high 11's??
