Lot's to ask!
Hi To All! I am a new guy to the thread world. I have a list of things I have heard thru the grapvine and I want to see what everyone thinks.
First off I am having some sort of problem with my 98gt. When I jump on the gas or even try to accelorate fast I am getting a bucking. I am not sure what it is. Gas filter? Plugs and wires maybe? I looked under the hood in the dark (someone told me a bad wire whould arc and you would see it in the dark?) And I just bought a gas filter (putting it on in the morning). Is the filter under near the tank? I am told there is more than one?
Second - As I see everyone has questions on exhaust. I was told the best muffler is no muffler. I am told run straight pipes right off the cats.?!?!? I really wonder about this? But I had 2 or 3 people tell me the same thing so I thought maybe there was truth in it? If not what do you think. I am one broke son of a gun (just buying the car and a new house in the same month) so I don't have too much to spend and of course I can not leave it alone.
How about a list of cheapies/// Where do I begin on a site like this!!!!! It's like question overload.....

RE: Lot's to ask!
Well 2 hits in 5 minutes but no advice... At least it's being read.... Please throw something off me. All I want is a good sounding/running mustang until I catch up from the recent purchases then I can begin the addiction and blow the kids college money.

Welcome to the forums man, as far as exhaust goes I personally love the sound of flowmaster mufflers with the correct mid-pipe. On the 4.6, flows with an o/r h pipe sounds like sex. But its all personal preference of what you think sounds best. A straight through muffler will work as well. As far as the "bucking" goes, I think your on the right track. My guess is probably the ignition wires as well. Good luck.

RE: Lot's to ask!
I just bought it a month ago. No tune up yet and it did just hit 100,000 miles this week. I have no idea what was done to it. The car was mint when I got it just high milage. The only thing that I know that was done was tires and rims. 18" Cobra R rims with 275/35/18 in the rear and 245/40/18 in the front. Otherwise stock. And no clue on the maint. exept his word.
