Default Difference in Gears

Let's just assume I'm bone stock, since I don't have any mods that would affect your replies. How much of a difference would I notice going from 2.73's to 3.73's as far as acceleration. Has anyone got any timeslips or personal experiences to convince me, besides saying it just feels a lot quicker?
