Default RE: Stall Converter Question

I run a Yank 4000 with a 3.42 gear and the car is fine as a DD (even though I don't dd it). The key here is that the converter is a lock up unit which will allow you to cruise with putting a ton of heat into the trans. You do still need to get a big trans cooler. Also remember that a lower gear (numericly higher) will make the stall act a little tighter, as will a car with less torque. Get the Yank you will be happy with it, just be ready for traction problems
