So, I left my car at the dealer last night -- which I've done a couple times before. The guy calls me at 8:30AM and asks me why I wanted the ToB changed. So, I told him and he told me $590 to change it, or $1350 for the typical clutch change.

Now, I changed the clutch, etc, 2 years ago. I ordered a King Cobra HD clutch kit for like $179, and having a closer-to-home shop do it for $340 labor.

So, I call Ford and they said it'd be $92 for them "checking out my car". I told him that I wrote down what was wrong ... going to be fun picking it up tonight.

Just wanted to give an update. I had a King Cobra clutch kit installed and everything is fine now. The only thing I didn't expect was how much harder it is to push the clutch down compared to the old one.

it should be easier to push than the old one. Then agian you gotta break it in.

I just put my stock quadrant and brand new OEM cable in my car and it shifts like silk.

Glad to hear you are rollin. Once that clutch is broken in (500 miles of gentle driving) it should be excellent!
