I have noticed on these last few hot days that when i use my a/c and im in some traffic my temperature gauge starts to climb towards the orange overheating mark. When i drive my car with no a/c i have no problems with an increase of temperature. i have a tune on the car that makes the fans come on at a lower temperature then stock, and i also just had my intake changed and a new thermostat and coolant put in the car. i also added some water wetter to the antifreeze as well. im thinking it might have something to do with my underdrive pullies. what do you guys think?

so basically we cant use the a/c when we need it most? what the hell is up with ford.

Try this, next time youre at a light with your a/c on when the temp starts climbing, throw it in neutral and get the r's up to about 1k -1200. See if it starts to drop, if it does youre low on coolant and you need to top it off.
When the t-stat was changed was the system purged of air properly? It can take a while to do it right, most people dont have the patience for it cuz it can take up to 1/2 anhour.

how exactly do you purge the system so i can try and do it myself.

It could be the radiator starting to plug up too. Its not that uncommon on the mustangs.
