I have a tri-ax but I assume the install would be similar... My kit came with a gasket or you can use some gasket maker. You wont need to take out the tranny fluid and if you reasonably know what youre doing it'll probably take you about an hour with nothing more than a wrench.

No and no. It is an EXTREMELY easy and straightforward process. Just take the old one out, install the new one.

I have no mechanical knowledge whatsoever and I did it in about 45 minutes. Follow the directions explicitly, take your time, and you will have no problems.

They also provide you with the proper sealing paste.

do not use a gasket from a kit use high temp rtv it is the best way to seal it make sure to spray break cleaner on a rag and clean off the top part of the trans where the new shifter goes so that the rtv will seal correctly if you have a few miles on your car it will never hurt to replace the trans fluid its cheap insurance.
