Default pi ?

If doing the pi swap, can i do it in stages like could i just put the intake on now and do the head swap later down the raod or do they all have to be done at once, if you can do it in steps. It the intake swap straight up or is any modifications needed

Don't forget the 'cam part of the swap to complete the package. There's no point installing the intake if later on down the road you'll have to tear it off again to put on the heads, and then even later tear it down again to put on the cam, or vice versa-there's just no easy way out of the work involved...

if ne thing....do intake and cams at once. Heads arent that needed....i belive that most the gains come from the cams and the intake. so i would if not at all once....deff intake AND cams at once....myk is also right tho, u dont wanna have to take it all apart again to do heads

Yes save up the money and do it all at once. That is what I am doing, I hope to have the $$ soon so I can have it done.

Well i reccomend just starting with the pi intake manifold, doesn't really add a whole lot of power, but helps out your power curve in the long run. I know alot of npi guys using pi cams and intake manifold. And when you look at the number difference between a npi motor with pi cams and intake manifold as apposed to a pi motor, there really isn't a huge difference. The reason why the pi heads on npi motors make more power then pi motors is because the compression jumps to 10:1 or 10.5:1, not sure on the exact number. The npi intake manifold and cams really suck. Period. Yes pi heads flow better then npi's, but if you ever plan on s/c are putting your car on the bottle after a full pi swap, your going to be restricted to the amount of boost or juice you can run.

~So save your money if you ever plan on doing any power adder, put the pi intake and cams in, and when you have the money port the heads so you can bottle or boost that bad boy.

power improved (99+) vs non-power improved...

Often times people will say they did the PI swap. This means they swapped their old cams, headers, and intake on their 96-98 stang for the PI versions of each
