Default check engine light

someone told me if the check engine light is on, it affects your gas mileage and your car's performance is this true.

how do i make it go off, it says its for catalitic efficiency , because i took out the cadilitic converter

yeah, do you have a tuner or MIL eliminators?

I just put in an O/R h and have MIL elims... waiting to see if they work or not

if your light is on because you don't have cats then its not hurting your gas mileages/performance like a bad o2 sensor would. easy fix would be to order some MIL's. check out mustangtuning.com.

give me a few weeks to drive 500 miles or so and i'll tell you if the steedas i got from mustangtuning are any good


some people have successes some don't, it's a hit or miss

they plug into the rear 02 sensor connections and fool the computer to think you still have working cats, if they are good that is
