I'm not sure, but I don't think you can put PI cams into NPI heads, I think you need the full PI sway to pull that off. The piston to valve clearance in less than in a PI motor, that is why Comp cams makes NPI and PI versions of their cams.
BTW, I don't think VT offers stage one cams anymore, or if they do, I don't see them on their site.

RE: PI cams
Comp Cams XE262AH (stange 1) or XE270AH (stage 2). The 270AH has a range of 1800-6000 if memory serves, so should still work well with a stock motor. You'll need a tune and gears to run them, though.
