RE: long block or used motor, or head swap
thank you guys very much for the input!
I think I have it planned out. I'm either buying a new stock long block or a low milage used long block, (PI of course), and then while I have my old one out... I will gradually build that motor to my race motor as my wallet allows. All I know is I wanna pull this motor before those valve seals leaking oil onto the valves cause trouble, because over time this WILL F*** stuff up.
I figure I put in a stock PI motor, a set of shorty headers, I'll be sitting well with 40 more horsepower than now and a reliable motor.
Then I can take my time and build the sh** out of the other motor.
Right now I gotta buy my beater car so this all can happen
anyone know of any oil additives that actually work to help leaky internal seals? I was gonna try some of the valvoline max life additive since I already run that oil... just to maybe slow down the leak a tick
Thanks again all!!
