Default UDP and battery voltage

I want to have underdrive pulleys installed on my car but I have a lot of after market stereo equipment if my car. I want my stereo to have a constant suppy 12v supply. I do have a one farod capacitor between my stereo and my amps. This helps with engine hum. But I was wondering if having this will help keep all my stereo equipment at a constant 12v charge if I install unerdrive pulleys. Does any body know?

If you are worried, leave the alternator pully stock/get a bigger alternator then change the pulley. You want 14+ volts not 12 when everything is fired up and the car is running above 1k rpm's.

Depending on your system and how often you crank it up at idle for lengthy periods of time, you should be o.k. with the underdrive.

or you can get an Optima battery and 130amp alternator. I personally, like the music of radical cams over the sound of "boom, boom".

yellow, is better for stero use. and if ur running a 1 farad cap then u have under 1000 watts so it shouldnt be that great of a strain on the system. i ran 1 kx1200.1 and a JL 300/4 on my stock 130 amp alt with no cap. the light were dimming on every bass hit but it worked. then i totaled that car and sold the system.

+1 on the optima red top and an upgraded alternator. I have the red top on my 03 gt due to my mach 1000.
