Yeah, but most of the time it's because it's hard to launch a FWD off the line. You have to know the car well.

This is officially the gayest tech thread ever. This topic is insanely broad you can't even answer it. Launch depends on power, traction and driver skill. Any dousche in a 160hp civic can get a better launch than some guy in a new Z06 if he launches properly with decent suspension (not on 195/45/15's with cut springs) and the driver of the Z06 launches at 5500rpms. He'll sit in a cloud of smoke as the civic puts by.... DOESN'T MEAN THE CAR IS FASTER!!!

learn to drive, get some 4.10's and don't worry about some jackass making random broad ignorant statements.

screw rice.

If they are lightly-medium modded hondas or whatever or non-turbos (Im not quite sure what a turbo'd ricer race would be like against a vert) they all will get owned in a straight out race.

Two nights ago i raced a guy with his girl in the passenger seat in an accord with a nasty body kit with my friend in my passenger with the top down and had him by at least a car and a half by 50 MPH without revving past 4 grand. Didnt need to go all out for him
Even if they are turboed it doesnt matter most of the time lol I've beaten soo many turbo ricers from a stop and a few from a roll its crazy. I used to fear a turbo on a ricer, now I dont lol
i still fear turboed ricers.... a friend down the street has one.... will eat my **** like nothing.... i cant keep up with him... and he has less than 12k into everything including the car... its a 97 GST with alot of goodies.. haha.

My last car was a '93 AWD talon. It would click off sub 2 sec 60' times easily and 0-60mph was in the 3 sec range. 1/4 mile was high 11's and traps around 120. Even a missed shift would get a mid 12 at a 11X trap. The DSM guys don't consider themselves ricers. www.dsmtimes.org
check it out and most are street cars once you get to the 9 sec cars. Mark
