Doh!! I apologize, I was thinking Town-car, in which case, it's almost a direct swap...
I don't think there's any difference between the Mark VIII's/4v 4.6's, like I said before, less the Flexplate/flywheel..

The continentals are FWD cars and they use a frFWD block with a different bell housing pattern. That block will not bolt up to a RWD transmission so it will not work in your mustang. You can use the heads but for that hassel I would just sell the car.
