Default strut/shock tower brace

I just put on my C springs and love the way the car handels now...but I want it to feel like it is on rails. I know sub frame conectros are a give but i also want to add a strut and a shock tower brace. First qustion...WTF is up with Ford not putting them on the newer GTs? I see where the holes are marked but they are not even drilled? Next, what brands are you all running and where are the best prices to be had? Thanx in advance.

mine came with one, I think in 97 for some reason they cam stock? But yeah it handles great with the springs, CC plates and that brace

new tires help too

that's odd... I wonder why they did away with it?

I wonder what difference it really makes?

it solidifies the front end...reducing flex on the mounts...so you feel less wiggle and bumps mid-turn...granatelli/maximum motorsports/griggs racing/kenny brown are the leaders in mustang suspension...(not in that order just as they came to mind)

Since your front end is "tied" on the bottom, by using the crossmember, and the bracing, there is little flex on the bottom. Now, since the strut towers are just free floating, so when you apply force on one side, it will naturally want to flex inward (opposite the direction of roll).. This changes your Angle Of Attack for your suspension, and changes your angle of inertia (if I remember that part correctly..)

If you tie the top end together, it keeps the tires planted firmly, and helps reduce uneven body roll... Simply put...

i know exactly what they do... I was just wondering if on our car if you can notice a before/after difference, since my car has it and I don't feel like taking it off just to see how it handles w/o it lol

Oh, you WILL notice a big difference, at least I have in other vehicles.. You may not notice it right away, but try taking a good sweeping turn, and you'll find out how bad these chassis really do flex...

Give it a try.. It shouldn't hurt anything, unless Ford included the bracing because they screwed up some chassis design....
