Default electric water pumps?

Hello everyone. Well, let me get right to business. I have a 97 GT with a few bolt ons (70mm TB, Intake Plenum, cut-off exhaust, K&N cold air, Under Drive Pullys) and one of the next items, that I am considering, on my list of mods is an electric water pump to free up some more hp, but my question is about the water pump. Is it reliable for a daily driver and does it free up as much hp as the advertisements say (17 rwhp)? If any one had any suggestions or opinions about the water pump or if you think have a better idea of what might be better for a bolt on then please let me know and just so you know my stang has a little over 109000 miles on the clock. Thanks to everyone.

you may get 5 horse. Honestly, if you drive the car a lot, it's not a good idea. It can fail, and you won't know it until it's too late. It's one of those items left mainly for dedicated racing.

I always question the advertised gains but I was thinking of doing the same thing. I did read on a post way back that even though it is DEF. more questionable(like Monkey said), you could wire a light into the passenger compartment to light up if the pump fails so you could turn your car off quickly and hopefully save your engine.
