Default Is it worth it??

Will porting and polishing the heads on my 98 cobra make any noticible gains...and is it really worth it?

I think it would be a lot cheaper if you just grabbed new PI heads. P&P isn't cheap.

PI heads don't apply to the cobra.

I think its worth it, the DOHC typically responds well to stuff like that but what have you currently done to the car and what type of gain are you expecting from a P&P.

If u got the dough to fork out its defintely worth it, espercially on a 4 valve. Get urself some sweet cams and ull see a nice gain.

This is definatly not a first mod thing to do. If the car already has all the exhaust/intake boltons and your looking to do a p&p job and some cams its a good idea, but its going to be fairly costly on a 4v, and you defintaly do not want to be the first person that has his 4v heads ported at the shop you plan to use.

Give a current mods list and some future (realistic) plans that you have, and we can probably help you quite a bit better.

Alright....Lets see Got the 4.10, Steeda pulleys, BBK intake, diablo chip, and o/r mac h with series 40 flows....now i am not doing this for ****s and giggles...my valve guide seals are bad so i figure since we dug that far into the motor why not put a set of cams in it...granted not cheap, but saving money in the long run....i talked to the machine shop today and he said he has done plenty of p&p's on the 4v in the past so he knows what he is doing but i have to shell out another grand. So.....should i just save the thou for something else or go with it since i have the u/l intake and heads already off?? Also what cams would yall suggest....i am keepin this car N/A so now blower or nitrous cams
